I like how the objects go more out of focus the further away they are getting

this image was taken using a Nikon D700, all in focus front to back, f.20,10 secs, mixed lighting natural and tungsten, i also used a tripod and a reflector.

I like this image as it has a glossy finish, the black and white again contrasts well with the reflections, and how it leads the viewer eye all in a line.

Knife Block

This Image was taken using a Nikon d700 F.16, 10 SECS and using mixed lighting this being natural and Tungsten.

I like this image as it reminds me of a row of penguins with the handles. The use of black and white contrasts well with the reflections of the handles on the block.

This image was taken using natural lighting and Tungsten lighting with a Nikon D700, 24-70 mm lens.

I feel that the image works well in black and white as the reflection contrasts well and makes the image.

Measuring spoons

This image was taken using Nikon D700, Macro 105mm lens, f.20, 1.35 sec, ISO 200 black and white.

I feel that this image works very well as it draws in the viewers eye due to the composition of it. The reflections also create a nice symmetrical pattern of light against dark, the use of black and white helps the curves and definition of the utensils.

This image was taken using Nikon D700 ,f.5.6, 5 secs, 24-70mm lens telephoto, black and white with increased contrast.

I feel that this image works due to the reflections within the pieces as the viewers eye is drawn into the image to see what else is within it.

I feel that this turns it from just a plain boring everyday spoon into something interesting and good to look at. Again it is vital to have the products highly polished before shooting.

The contrast of light and dark works well in defining and enhancing the shaping and the curves of the utensils.

This image was taken using Black and white High Contrast, I feel that this worked well for the final piece as it helps define the separate parts of the product and highlights its curves.
